The Triathlon of The Willpower

After the “One trip without plan” last month, the excitement of long-distance travel kept lingering in my head. After a month of chores and burnout, I just couldn’t wait to go for another grand tour on motorcycle.

With the complete check and maintenance of motorcycle and my gears, I was able to departure punctually. The journey started with an hour of riding. Although I slept well last night and the street view was splendid, the exhausted feeling still came to me. I had no choice but took a brief break at a McDonald on the route nearby Nanto. (See the orange restaurant icon in the middle of map.) Having sufficient diet, taking enough break and packing up the gears, the journey continued.

The journey includes three main destinations, 九族文化村, Sun moon lake, and Taichung city. You may wonder why do I travel to Taichung frequently? It’s simply because Taichung is, apart from Tainan, another metropolitan nearby Chiayi. The distance between Chiayi and Taichung is suitable for motorcycle traveling. The first destination is “九族文化村”. The last time I stepped into this amusement park was the commencement trip of primary school, therefore, I couldn’t help but feeling that I’m already much older, fatter and bigger ever than before. Everything that impressed me is now boring and tiny to me. Not satisfied by my favorite amusement park in my memory, leaving for the famous Sun moon lake scenic area.

It was not until I arrived at the scenic area that I feel literally get older when I realize that the nature now satisfies me more than amusement park. The sunset made sky color gradient. The rippling lake, thriving bushes and groves, and the maple sunlight casting down, everything around the lake are just to the point. At the same time, the descending sunset seemed bidding farewell to me, and I wrapped up for Taichung. To be continued….
